Welcome to my blog! I’m Shivashogie. I'm excited to share a bit about myself and the journey that has brought me to where I am today.
I come from the arts stream in secondary school, and while I wasn't too concerned about being the class topper, I discovered a different passion that set me on an unexpected path—repairing tech gadgets. From computers and laptops to phones and tablets, if it had a circuit, I wanted to fix it. My skills? They weren't learned in a classroom but rather from countless hours spent watching YouTube tutorials. It was a hands-on education that fueled my curiosity and kept me tinkering away.
This passion really took off during the first lockdown in 2020. With school closed and everyone stuck at home, I found myself with a lot of free time. That’s when I dove deep into learning new skills. In addition to tech repair, I explored painting and drawing, which helped me tap into my creative side. I also tried my hand at freelance photography, turning my hobbies into side income businesses.
Before I found myself at MMU, pursuing a diploma in business, my heart was set on something entirely different—interior design. It was what I originally wanted to study, and I was passionate about it. Unfortunately, my SPM grades weren't enough to secure a spot in a university program for interior design, and I had to shift my focus. It was a tough pill to swallow, but it led me to explore other avenues, and that’s how I ended up here.
Now, you could say I'm a bit of a hybrid—split between my studies and my love for tech repair. It's a 50/50 balance. On one side, I'm diving into the world of business, learning the ins and outs of what makes companies tick. On the other, I’m still deeply involved in what I love—repairing tech. In fact, I’ve taken that passion and turned it into a business. Yes, I run my own tech repair business, where I help people fix their gadgets and keep their devices running smoothly.
So, that’s a glimpse into my life—one that’s a mix of learning, creating, repairing, and balancing two different worlds.
